American Idol: Angie Miller Dedicates "I'll Stand By You" Performance to Boston Last Night, Watch Performance (VIDEO)

"American Idol" was back last night with the Top 5 performing.  Christian artist and front runner Angie Miller performed "I'll Stand by You" by The Pretenders.  Before Angie started singing, she dedicated the song to the city of Boston that is still reeling from the explosions during the Boston Marathon on Monday.  Miller grew up in Beverly,MA which is less then a 30 minute drive north of Boston.

Miller sang again from the piano, which the judges always say she gives her strongest performances from.  She has been criticized for being too theatrical and not showing enough real emotion that connects to the song, but tonight she was fully engaged into the heart of the song she was singing.  The performance was beautiful and she even got a standing ovation from all of the judges except for Nicki Minaj.

After last nights performance, Miller won both rounds of the night in many peoples eyes, solidifying her as the front runner of the competition.  The other ladies have amazing voices, but Miller seems to be able to stick out and has potential to be branded like a pop star.  Miller also has far and away the highest number of fans on social media with her facebook page and twitter followers.  So it goes to show that her fan base is growing for her career after "American Idol" is over.

Tune in tomorrow night to see if Miller makes it into the Top 4 for next week.
