'American Idol' 2013: Jennifer Lopez Confirmed for Season Finale Performance / Not Joining 'Idol' Judges [VIDEO]
American Idol 2013 judge update!
Unfortunately Jennifer Lopez will not be replacing the ever-boring Mariah Carey on the American Idol judge panel. However J-Lo will be performing on the American Idol 2013 finale. Yeah, Jennifer is back!
E! News was the first to break the news. Lopez will be performing on either the May 15 or May 16 episode.
Jennifer Lopez has been in headlines as a rumored replacement for Idol Mariah Carey. FOX producers confirmed that she will not be featured on the next season of American Idol, though I'm sure they'd love her to.
Mariah Carey is by far the worst judge on American Idol 2013. Not to mention her constant diva feud with fellow judge Nicki Minaj started out as a novel PR gimmick, now it's just annoying. One of them has to go. Unfortunately Nicki Minaj is the most exciting aspect of American Idol. Without Minaj, the family oriented Idol would just be a glorified beauty pageant. Minaj brings some pizzazz to the singing competition; not to mention her critiques are spot on.
Anyways, back to Jennifer Lopez. What do you think she'll sing on the American Idol 2013 finale? It's most likely going to be "Live It Up," the first single of her next album. This won't be Lopez's first American Idol performance. She's played "On the Floor" and "Dance Again" which features Pitbull, on the Idol stage.
How's Ryan Seacrest going to handle the two divas together? Hopefully there's some drama between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez, or at least a little awkwardness.
