'American Idol' 2013: Candice Glover Sings "I Who Have Nothing", "Chasing Pavements", "I Am Beautiful" / Kree Harrison Sings "Up to the Mountain", "Angel" and "All Cried Out"
Tonight's American Idol 2013 episode will be the last chance for Candice Glover and Kree Harrison to convince America who should be crowned the next Idol, and who will be sent home. Though the Season 12 finale results will air during the Thursday episode, the pressure is on tonight for the two divas.
On tonight's episode Candice Glover and Kree Harrison will be singing three songs each; one reprise of a song they sang earlier in the season, one song chosen by American Idol creator Simon Fuller and one coronation song that fits each singer [hopefully Jimmy Iovine doesn't pick the song].
Spoiler alert! Here's what Candice and Kree will be singing during the American Idol performance finale.
For reprise, Candice will sing "I Who Have Nothing" by Ben E. King. Kree chose "Up to the Mountain" by Patty Griffin.
As for Idol creator Simon Fuller's choice, Candice will stick to diva-vocals and sing "Chasing Pavements" by Adele. Fuller chose "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan for Kree Harrison.
For the coronation song Candice will sing Christina Aguilera's "I Am Beautiful" while Kree Harisson chose "All Cried Out".
Personally, I'm really excited to hear Candice Glover sing "Chasing Pavements". I think her vocal approach really fits the British powerhouse singer. It'll be exciting to see if she can shed the choir and do something a little more intimate during tonight's American Idol 2013. Kree Harrison definitely has her work cut out for her. Patty Griffin's "Up to the Mountain" should be right up her alley. As for the other songs, I don't know.
Tune in for tonight's American Idol 2013 Season 12 performance finale episode at 8/7c on FOX.
