American Horror Story Season 4 Release Date, Plot Rumors: 'Freak Show' Premiere Date October 2014
"American Horror Story" fans will be delighted to learn that Season 4 of the FX horror series has been subtitled "Freak Show," which will perhaps have an October 2014 release. The new season is set in the 1950s and its story will revolve around a carnival in Florida.
Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy, creator of the show, has just revealed some new details regarding the forthcoming season of the "American Horror Story." In an interview with EW.com, Murphy disclosed that Jessica Lange will portray the character of a German woman, who runs the carnival in Florida.
Murphy said, "It was always a concept that Jessica and I talked about really early on," adding, "It was always her favorite one, which I thought was funny. I've had many different versions that I've run by her. I just love it. It feels really right."
The director went on to elaborate, " I thought it was going to be light but it's turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look - if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it's going to be dark."
When asked if the show will feature a homicidal clown, Murphy said, "Yes," and went on to say, "The most terrifying clown ever!"
Murphy further added that the show will feature "our version" of the Bearded Lady.
Meanwhile, teasers on season 4 of the "American Horror Show" continue to emerge, with Angela Bassett teasing, "Well, we know that Jessica Lange plays the manager of one of the U.S.' last remaining freak shows in Jupiter, Fla., who has "rescued all these different individuals. It's the end of that era, of the freak show, and we'll do anything to keep our business going."
