American Horror Story Season 4 Release Date Spoilers, Cast Rumors: October 2014 Premiere for Freak Show

Fans will not have to wait too much longer before American Horror Story Season 4 premieres on TV.

News on the upcoming season, dubbed the Freak Show, are frequent, which gives audience a good idea about what the next American Horror Story is about. While creator Ryan Murphy has kept silent about the plot, Angela Bassett provides some clues on her upcoming role on the FX series.

In a Labor Day interview with Vulture, Bassett commented on what she expects from Season 4: Freak Show. "You know it's 'Freak Show,' so your mind begins to work. I had an opportunity to see [Murphy], and I knew it was going to be fabulous, and the writers are amazing, but you know a woman's curiosity. I said, 'Ryan, am I the bearded lady?'"

Murphy dismissed the idea and she will not be one of the conjoined twins. However, the promised the 55-year-old actress that she is going to take on a "more special role." The next chapter is set in 1950s in Jupiter, Florida.

Jessica Lange, who will spend her last season on the show, will play the role of a German who manages the Freak Shows. TV Guide leaks that Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, and Sarah Paulson will also play the part of the "freaks."

Michael Chiklis (Fantastic Four, The Shield) is among the newly-cast actors. He will play Kathy Bates' former husband and Even Peter's father.

"When we met, Ryan pitched the idea and talked about what we were going to do. I said to him, "I'm terrified, and I'm going to do it. That's just a bit of a tease because I would never divulge anything that he said. I'll leave that all to him. But, I can say that my heart was pounding. It is a freak show. Oh, man! But as actors, that's what we love to do..." Chiklis has said, according to Yahoo UK.
