'American Horror Story' New Season Release Date: Premiere Confirmed October 8 for 'Freak Show' on FX
Fans have been waiting patiently to hear about the release date for the new season of 'American Horror Story', and finally FX Networks announced that it will premiere the new installment, subtitled 'Freak Show', on October 8 at 10 pm.
The executive producer and creator Ryan Murphy has released the official first trailer of the latest season. The trailer is gruesome, cruel and everything the series has been known for.
According to an FX Networks press release, via ET Online, Jessica Lange will play a lead role once again. The show will begin, as quoted from the press release, in "the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida."
"The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carnie experience."
Like the previous season, Jessica Lange will act out as a German expatriate who organizes one of the final freak shows in the States. What's more, Sarah Paulson will join the crew playing two characters all at once. She will play as Dot and Bette, the conjoined twins.
Beyond that, Rose Siggins has joined the cast to play Legless Suzy (the character's legs were amputated at the age of two). Matt Fraser will play Paul the Illustrated Seal, a character who has a malformation of his limbs, and was diagnosed with a rare disease called phocomelia. Also, Erika Ervin, a model and a fitness coach will play the character Amazon Eve. Last but not least, Jyoti Amge, world smallest woman, has also joined 'American Horror Story- Freak show'.
