‘American Horror Story Hotel' Season 5 Spoilers, Cast News: Evan Peters Returns to AHS

Over the last few seasons, 'American Horror Story' has overwhelmed fright fans across the United States airing new episodes with intricate and distressing storylines, visuals as well as horrid structures. Recently, a report by Time, which was supported by series creator Ryan Murphy, said that the upcoming Season 5 of the series titled 'American Horror Story Hotel' will see the return of series regulars like Evan Peters.

Latin Post reports that, in his recent Twitter post, Murphy also teased what fans can expect from Peter's character in the upcoming season. Murphy tweeted, "This season, Evan Peters will be waiting for you in Room 64. ?#AHSHOTEL."

As viewers are aware, 'American Horror Story' is mainly based on classic American horror themes and the fact that it focuses on a particular story each season and subsequently re-conceives itself in the next is what has distinguished this show from other "scary" series on television.

According to the report, all the series regulars, including Peters, Jessica Lange, Lily Rabe and Kathy Bates (who has been a regular since Season 3), have taken on different roles and portrayed different characters. Usually, Lange appears as a villain in most episodes, but all the characters she portrays always has a couple of positive qualities. However, a report in the Inquisitr reports states that Lange will not be joining the 'American Horror Story Hotel' cast in Season 6.

As the themes of different seasons of the series are inherent, they are really haunting. For instance, in Season 1, viewers showed a house with ghosts from people who had died there over the years. Some of these deaths occurred from the ghosts themselves, while others occurred from the inhabitants of the house. This gave rise to the notion that the premise was haunted, or perhaps even cursed to be disturbed, all through the years.

Season 2 of 'American Horror Story' featured an asylum with spooky things, ghosts, aliens, supernatural beings and mad scientists, while Season 3 delved into classic American horror with a coven of witches. The latest installment in Season 4 dazzled the American horror audiences afresh with a bizarre freak show, making it yet another typical American horror tale.

Hence, like any other great haunted house, fans expect a throwback to hotel horror in Season 5. It may remind the fans of movies like 'The Shining' and '1408' - both stories were taken from Stephen King's novels.
