'American Horror Story: Freak Show' Cast News, Season 4 Spoilers: Villain Will Be John Carroll Lynch

During the recent San Diego Comic-con, 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' producers released the official casting list for the upcoming fourth season on the show's Facebook page.

The list includes, Jessica Lange as Elsa Mars, Emma Roberts as Maggie Sarah Paulson (which is the dual role of Siamese twins Bette and Dot), Michael Chiklis as Evan del Toreado, Kathy Bates as Ethel Darling, Angela Bassett as del Toreado's ex-wife Desiree Dupre and Evan Peters as del Toreado's son Jimmy Darling.

According to reports, the show's villain will be played by John Carroll Lynch. According to the leaked photo, the villain is said to be a "twisted clown." AHS Executive Producer Tim Minear said during the Comic-con that "a villain who will rival the rubber man and the Minotaur from previous seasons. John Carroll Lynch will play him, and he will scare the shit out of you," he said.

More spoilers for the show's Season 4, during the Comic Con, included the setting of the upcoming series. According to the production, "The Freak Show" will take place during the 1950's in Jupiter, FL.

There is a lot in store for the upcoming season, during the event, Minear described the fourth season of the series, "Freak Show" as "(Director) Douglas Sirk meets the movie Zodiac."

Meanwhile, AHS Creator Ryan Murphy made an impression on the actors of the show. As they got candid in the Comic-Con, it was revealed that Murphy is a visionary and that the cast has to figure out what he wants.

According to Kathy Bates, "That's the damn truth! It unnerves me a bit. The man behind the curtain has come out in front of the curtain. It's so lame. I must be nervous. After my first scene one week, I got home and couldn't go to sleep, and then I slept for 30 hours - and that was without drugs! I swear to God, I think he scares the s**t out of me!" she said in agreement with co-star Evan Peters.

It seems as though fans are so anxious about the upcoming installment in the series that no amount of spoilers will suffice their cravings for 'American Horror Story: Freak Show' Season 4.
