Amanda Bynes News: Actress to Remain in Psychiatric Hospital for Another Month, Doctors' Statement to Judge
Troubled actress Amanda Bynes will have to remain inside a psychiatric hospital for another 30 days, according to an insider from Daily News.
"She is in for another 30 days, minimum," the source shared.
Doctors ordered for her treatment to be extended after the actress' recent public meltdown because of a rumored shoplifting incident at Barneys in Manhattan
The 'What I Like About You' actress has already been treated for various issues over the last two weeks in southern California, prior to the recent incident.
According to a statement from Bynes' doctors that was released to the judge overseeing the case, the 'Easy A' actress is reportedly "very ill" and in no condition to care for herself.
The 28- year old Nickelodeon star was forced to stay in the 5150 medical hold at a hospital in Pasadena in Oct. 10 after she claimed that a "microchip" led her to wrongly accuse her dad, Rick Bynes of sexual abuse.
Bynes immediately took down her post on Twitter hours before boarding a plane from New York to Los Angeles.
"My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me," Bynes posted before the plane landed at LAX.
A source close to the Bynes family that an intervention was done right after Bynes landed at LAX, and that lawyer Tamar Arminak was able to confront Bynes and lead her to the psychiatric hold.
Amanda's outlandish statements came out after the 'She's The Man' actress posted several dubious claims that her dad sexually abused her.
Amanda's mom quickly dismissed the allegations about Rick and was reportedly saddened by her daughter's ice cold statements on Twitter.
"Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually," she said.
"We are disturbed beyond words that Amanda would come up with such a fabrication as a way to avoid getting much needed help or treatment," Amanda's siblings Tommy and Jillian said in separate statement released by Arminak.
