Amanda Bynes Problems Latest News: Former Nickelodeon Star Living Off American Express Gift Cards- $50 a Day
Since troubled actress Amanda Bynes' release from a Pasadena psychiatric hospital last week, she's been barred from using her own money, and supports herself with $50 American Express gift cards given to her by parents.
After her unexpected release from the psychiatric center, Bynes went active again on Twitter and posted series of complaints regarding her parents who she said were very controlling.
"I got discharged for not being gravely disabled. But I am conserved and my parents only give me $50 dollars a day and it's really annoying," the actress ranted.
"I need to get an apartment and my parents won't give me access to any of my funds...I'm not living with my parents. I'm not legally obligated to," she added.
The 'Easy A' actress has been going out and about in hotels and restaurants, paying off her living expenses using money given to her by her parents through Bynes' court-appointed lawyer, according to sources.
Bynes was spotted at Mel's Drive-In in West Hollywood, where she was unusually "chatty" with the waiter, and refused a stay at the high class London Hotel-and "made it rain dollars, and not gift cards" to prove she has money to pay.
Amanda's parents, who refuse to let the actress return to their home, reportedly wanted her "to hit rock bottom before she realizes she needs serious help."
Bynes made headlines the past month when she wrongly accused her father of sexually abusing her and tweeted about it, "My dad never did any of those things. The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me," Bynes posted.
Bynes was recently forced to stay in the 5150 psychiatric hold in Pasedena, Calif. In Oct. 10 after she claimed that a "microchip" led her to wrongly accuse her dad, Rick Bynes of sexual abuse.
