Allegiant Movie Release Date, Divergent 2 Plot Spoilers: Part 1 Slated 2016, Part 2 Launches 2017
Even before 'Insurgent', the follow up to the box office hit 'Divergent', debuts at the cinema, fans of the series based on Veronica Roth's novels of the same name, are itching to find out more about the third installment, 'Allegiant'.
The second installment 'Insurgent', has already been pegged with an official release date scheduled for March 30, 2015. According to reports, the upcoming film which is said to be situated in post-apocalyptic Chicago will be showcasing high-risk stunts from actors Theo James (Four) and Shailene Woodley (Tris).
The stunts are reported to be done with the use of zip lines, presumably from the tops of various buildings, which excites fans hoping to see the limited use of CGI in the film.
Another interesting morsel of information, is that fans have been promised that the third and final installment in the series, 'Allegiant', will be split into two parts. Lionsgate films, the film series' producer, stated that the third 'Divergent' novel would be best adapted in two "strong and fulfilling" films.
What's more, is that the release dates for the two final films in the series have already been announced. The first part of 'Allegiant' is slated for a March 18, 2016 premiere, while the second half in scheduled to launch one year later on March 24, 2017.
Production for the 'Divergent' Trilogy's second installment, 'Insurgent', is already currently in full swing.
