Recently an announcement was released that new cast members would be joining ABC's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' for its Season 2 when it returns on September 23.

Viewers were already excited to watch the new episodes of the hit TV series, and now that new cast members will be introduced, fans are raving. One of the new cast members that has been confirmed to join the show is Lucy Lawless of 'Parks and Recreations' fame. The actress will play the role of Isabelle Hartley, an agent who is known for her incredible skills with knives. Details about whether or not Lawless is a temporary character or a permanent one has not yet been disclosed.

Another character that is said to be introduced when the series returns is Barbara 'Bobbi' Morse, an agent referred to as the Mockingbird. According to Gospel Herald, the Mockingbird has been injected with Super Soldier Serum. However, there has been no announcement as to which actress would be playing the role of Morse on the show.

Beyond that, fans of the show can expect to see these stars in their updated roles, Lance Hunter (Nick Blood), Daniel Whitehall (Reed Diamond) and Bakshi (Simon Kassianides).

Last but not least, Colbie Smulders, a familiar face, will reprise her role as Agent Maria Hill, when 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' returns on ABC.
