Actor Steven Baldwin shocked his family when he became a born again Christian years ago, and now the actor had the honor of baptizing his mother, Carol, as she confessed Jesus as her Lord, to which he celebrated the occasion on social media.

"This is my mom, today our family was blessed to baptize her in water in the name of Jesus!" the actor proudly proclaimed on his Instagram page.

He went on to say, "At 83 she professed her faith in Christ & repentance of her sins. She will never be the same again. I love her so much & look forward to our time together in Heaven !!"

The Baldwin boys were raised Roman Catholic, and the youngest brother of notable actors, Alec, Daniel and William, collectively known as the "Baldwins brothers," came to know Christ after the 9/11 attacks. Stephen detailed his journey in his 2006 book The Unusual Suspect, where he also spoke about his personal life, career, and days of drug abuse.

The Baldwin boys were possibly baptized as babies since the Catholic tradition of infant baptisms has been around since the early Middle Ages. Stephen though, was happy to share that his mother was baptized as an adult and repented of her sins and confessed her faith in Christ.

Many Christians practice and believe in being baptized as an adult, in total immersion, because John the Baptist used a deep river for his baptism.

Along with the celebratory post, Stephen posted a picture of himself and brother presumably William and two others, holding his mother as she appeared angelic and was about to be immersed in a beach or river of some kind. Both brothers have a smile on their face and Stephen's gold cross is dangling off of his neck.
