50 Charged with Domestic Violence for Attacking Ex-Girlfriend, Rapper Could Get 5 Years in Prison
50 Cent's ex-girlfriend, claiming to have been in a three year relationship with the rapper, called police to her Los Angeles home on June 23rd over a dispute and eventual domestic violence charge against 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson).
She told officers that during an argument they were having, he started to destroy her property. She continued to say that he had kicked open her bedroom door and kicker her. If this is true, anyone who knows 50 cent, knows he is not a small guy. So even if he had no intention of hurting her, this would be very intimidating for a woman.
Reports are that police found multiple rooms wrecked with clothes thrown around and several things broken including furniture, chandeliers and a television. There is estimated over $7,000 worth of damage done.
50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson will appear in court on July 22. If convicted, Jackson could face up to five years in prison and close to $50,000 in fines.
50 Cent rose to popularity with his album, "Get Rich or Die Tryin" in 2003 and the legend of him surviving 9 gun shot wounds from his attempted murder.
