No. 1 Pick 2013 NBA Draft Anthony Bennett Goes to Cleveland Cavaliers With the Surprise Pick
The 2013 NBA Draft kicked off tonight in at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
This is a down year for Super Star talent at the top of the board with the first 5 picks, but the NBA analysts all agree that the middle of the draft has some great talent that can really help teams out.
The No. 1 pick goes to the Cleveland Cavaliers and they went with Anthony Bennett from UNLV Runnin' Rebels .
Bennett only played one year for the UNLV. This was enough game tape though for the NBA scouts to be confident in choosing him high in the draft, at least in the Cavs "war" room.
Bennett is the highest drafted played ever for a Canadian player.
He is a 6' 8'' power forward, reminds some of old UNLV and NBA player, Larry Johnson.
The Cavaliers landed the top pick in the 2007 NBA draft for the second time in 3 years.
Bennett will join Kyrie Irving in the effort to rebuild the Cavs back to the top where they were a few years ago when Lebron James was there.
The Top 5 picks coming up are: No. 2 - Orlando Magic, No. 3 - Washingto Wizards, No. 4 - Carlotte Bobcats, No. 5 - Phoenix Suns.
