2013 Detroit Auto Show, 5 Hot Cars
Every year in Detroit, the North American International Auto Show, displays some of the latest and most exciting 2013-2014 car models and prototypes on the planet. From the four-door sedan to some of the most exotics makes, there's something for everyone at the NAIAS. Here are 5 hot new models.
2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
The new C7 Stingray has been generating a lot of hype this year and is one of the most anticipated debuts of the entire show. The 2014 Corvette comes with 6.2-liter 450-horsepower V8 LT1 engine. Delivering on the Stingray name gets harder every year but it seems Chevy hit a home run this time around.
2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S
By far the fastest SUV from Porsche yet. There is nothing discreet about this year's model. The 550-horsepower engine and 21-inch 911 Turbo II wheels are as over the top as it gets. Ever wanted to feel like James Bond when picking up the kids from soccer practice? Now you can.
2014 Maserati Quattroporte
Though the new Quattroporte keeps the standard V8, this year's model has an optional V6, available with all-wheel drive, which is a first for the car. This 404-horsepower, 4-door Maserati can take you from A to B in any weather situation.
2014 Cadillac ELR
Cadillac's been trying to stuff the endurance of the Chevy Volt into one of their cars for over 3 years. With the new ELR they finally did it. With classic Cadillac design, this car can run on electric power up to 35 miles, and can extend 300 miles with the gas engine. Go green in black.
2014 Kia Cadenza
With pricing projected to be in the $30,000s the new Cadenza boasts the most powerful engine Kia has ever made. Not only does it have the 3.3-liter V6 that pushes up to 293-horsepower and 255-lb-ft of torque, the new Cadenza also comes with an 8-inch interior dash that displays navigation, similar to the Hyundai Azera.
