Duggar Family ’19 Kids and Counting’ News: Reveals Pregnancy Plans - Intimate Home Birth

The '19 Kids and Counting' star recently revealed the news that she and her husband, Derick Dillard, 25, are expecting their first child. Now, the newlywed said she is already planning the birth of their firstborn, and they're going to do it in their own home.

The 23-year-old expectant mom, who is a trained midwife, has already laid out a birthing plan ahead of her baby's arrival.

"I think home birth is really special because you are in your own environment," the new Mrs. Dillard told People magazine, "You don't have to pick up, move and have that stall labor. I am looking forward to having the calm, intimate setting of being home."

Jill also revealed she is still dealing with morning sickness, but her husband has been a tremendous support throughout her first trimester.

"He wakes up and gets me peppermint and water, and puts snacks like granola and toast by the bed," Jill said.

There is still some six months left before Jill and Derick's baby will arrive, but the couple is already going all out on preparation.

Jill recently posted a photo of her and her husband on the porch of their home, where they can be seen writing out passages from the Bible for inspiration.

"Writing out bible verses for encouragement during pregnancy, labor and delivery. #Scriptureboard #babydilly #pregnancyprep #blessed parents," Jill wrote in the caption.

One of the photos shows the passages that the couple wrote, including Isaiah 26:3, which reads, "You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you."

On that note, the couple's baby is due to arrive in March of next year.

Jill told US Weekly recently that they decided on a short engagement to avoid the temptation of getting too physical quickly.

"If you are financially ready, and things are in place (which should be at the time the question is popped), we believe an engagement should only be long enough to plan a wedding," Jill told the magazine.
