'Tom Clancy's The Division' Release Date Delay News: Upcoming Game Postponed Again

The upcoming and highly-anticipated Ubisoft game, 'Tom Clancy's The Division', may potentially be facing production issues after a recent announcement about another release date delay.

The game will be Ubisoft's first of it's kind, a third-person shooter open world RPG. The game's website provides a short synopsis:

"A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails. Fighting to prevent the fall of society, the agents will find themselves caught up in an epic conspiracy, forced to combat not only the effects of a manmade virus, but also the rising threat of those behind it. When everything collapses, your mission begins."

This will actually be the game's second release date delay. The game was originally announced for a 2014 date. There is no confirmed release date as of now.

The company has faced criticism in the past regarding their games being "unfinished."

"Bugs, glitches, server crashes, the works! You name it, every bad aspect of a game has been plaguing their recent titles this year. Far Cry 4 is an excellent game and an awful lot of fun! But I've been kicked out of my game twice for enabling online features while playing, and I've only selected that feature...well...twice!" writes Movie Pilot.

An anonymous insider from Ubisoft released this quote last year:

"The game engine works well, it's not done, but works well. The actual game development has barely started, however..."

It's starting to look like if we do receive the game, the graphics will perhaps be scaled down and some of their goals for the game won't be met. In any case, Ubisoft will need to find a way to deliver.
