Taylor Swift New Album Details & Release Date: Singer Talks New Record Set for October 2014 Launch

Taylor Swift is hard at work on her fifth album, the follow up to her chart topping 2012 album, Red. The singer has just finished the last leg of the Red tour in Asia, and while in Shanghai, she spoke to the press about her upcoming album.

"We are not going to announce some other leg of the tour, but what that does mean is that I can throw myself into the next project. I've already been working very hard on it and it's already my favorite thing that I've ever created. So the idea that after Asia, I get to go back and finish everything and get everything completely done and completely wrapped up for a new project is exciting," said Swift.

The singer also admitted that it was exciting to end the era of Red and move on to the next project. Swift also stated that she was sticking to the same formula that made all of her albums successful"”writing songs about her personal experiences and relationships.

"As I've grown up, the things I've written about have completely evolved with how I was growing. I was writing songs about what it was like to be 18, what it was like to be 20, what it's like to be 22 and now I'm 24 and I'm still writing songs about my life," said Swift.

She added, "I think I really just love the unity it brings to me and the audience because chances are, they've felt the exact same way I felt when I wrote the song and I think it kind of reminds them"”and it reminds me"”that the human experience isn't so lonely."

Fans are wondering whether Swift will be including a song about former boyfriend Harry Styles, and whether she would pen a song for her best friend Selena Gomez to help her overcome her relationship problems with on-again off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber.

Taylor Swift's new album will reportedly be out by October 2014.
