'Star Wars: Battlefront' DLC Release News: 'Rogue One: Scarif' To Be Unveiled On December 6

The fourth and final Star Wars Battlefront expansion, Rogue One: Scarif, is set for release next month.

Electronic Arts announced this week that Rogue One: Scarif will be made available to season pass holders starting December 6, ten days before the new "Star Wars" film, "Rogue One," hits theaters.

Among the features of the new expansion are four new maps, which include "the sandy beaches of Scarif" that was featured in the theatrical trailer of "Rogue One." The expansion will also introduce a pair of new heroes, Jyn Erso the good guy and Orson the bad guy, as well as a new "multi-stage game mode with space and ground combat."

According to reports, this particular feature of the new expansion closely resembles the Battle Station mode of Death Star, Star Wars Battlefront's previous expansion. It also introduces Scarif as one of the additional areas, which is the tropical plant featured in the trailer for the movie.

In celebration of Star Wars Battlefront's first year anniversary yesterday, Electronic Arts has made all game modes and maps from the three previous expansions available for free until November 20. The three previous expansions include the Outer Rim, Bespin and Death Star. On top of that, players who will play over the weekend will also get quadruple experience.

A report from PC Gamer confirms that season pass holders will be able to get Rogue One: Scarif two weeks earlier than non-holders. The expansion will be made available to non-holders starting December 20.
