Creator Insists ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Prequel Still Happening; No Cast, Script Available Yet?

It's good news, bad news when it comes to the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel.

The good news is that creator Kurt Sutter insists that the series is still going to happen, but the bad news is that they are still far from finishing the script and even finalizing the cast members, particularly on John Teller and Piney.

The problem is that the showrunner has just come off from writing, "The Bastard Executioner," a rather laborious series that combines historical facts, medieval mythology and fiction. But the series was cancelled by FX after season 1 following a lethargic audience reaction.

In a previous interview with Deadline, the showrunner said that the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel would be a series that lasts 10 or 12 episodes.

The story begins in Nam when John Teller and Piney met, "and bring them back to the States and the obvious external dynamics that were going on with the country and the perception of the war and what an odd kind of perception these vets got when they returned home."

Meanwhile, there's no cast news yet for the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel.

An earlier false report from Empire News claimed that John Teller would be played by a Hollywood A-Lister.

The false report went viral especially since Brad Pitt's name was dragged into the cast rumors for the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel, which the report claimed was going to be a movie.

Watch out for more news updates and cast rumors on "Sons of Anarchy" prequel which will be published when they come along.
