'Skyrim' Remaster Release Date News: ‘Special Edition’ Slated To Be ‘Next Gen’ Title

Bethesda's "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" Remaster is set to be the studio's next generation title, according to its Public Relations and Marketing Vice President Pete Hines.

In his interview with IGN at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016 event, Hines said that the team that is working on the upcoming Bethesda title remaster is set to make it as next gen and appropriate for the gaming consoles.

When asked about whether the title is set to have updated animations, Hines said that performance, effects , or whatever they could do to make the game look and feel better, they were going to give it a go.

According to Hines, it was not possible to cover those all at once, with so many things to talk about. But, he could say that they were trying to significantly improve the performance and the looks of the game. For the vice president, the idea was to make it suitable for next generation consoles and make it a worthy comeback for those who had enjoyed the game when it had got released.

Bethesda is allocating huge effort to come up with a more appearing "Skyrim: Special Edition," as per WCC Tech. Thus, it is assumed that the title's price is set to be at par with the price of a brand new triple A game.

Apart from the enhanced graphics promised by the game, "Skyrim: Special Edition" is also set to support PC modes, as per Game Spot. According to the publication, this is in line with the release of the "Fallout 4" PC mod on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

"Skyrim" remaster is set to come out on Oct. 28 for Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and PS4.
