"Scorpion" season 2 left the team in disarray as they dealt with their own personal issues. That is why it won't come as a surprise if the new episodes of the upcoming series deal with a lot of troubles as well.

The people behind the popular CBS series were present during the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 to reveal some details about "Scorpion" season 3.

According to executive producer Nick Wootton, the new season will deal with "a lot of stuff." He also confirmed that season 3 will pick up a few hours from the events that happened in the season 2 finale.

"So we're gonna see what happens when Walter goes up to Tahoe. We're going to actually be taking characters in different directions as opposed to love interests," said Wootton, via CinemaBlend.

He also revealed that Walter, played by Elyes Gabel, will come to his senses and admit to himself that he really loves Paige, played by Katharine McPhee. Following his realization, he will come to the place where she is set to marry Tim, played by Scott Porter.

While fans have yet to know whether Walter will be able to make it on time or not, co-executive producer Nick Santora assured fans that "the Waige relationship will always be there."

"Even if it's bubbling under the surface, even if they have relationships with other people, it's always there," he said, according to TV Line.

Next season, Toby will also do everything he can to reclaim his love, following the surprising revelation of Happy.

"Scorpion" season 3 is set to premiere on Oct. 3, 9:00 p.m. on CBS.
