If spoilers for 'Scandal' Season 5 are any indication, it is unlikely that Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) will be able to fulfill her dreams of having a peaceful and happy life with the person she loves.

Christian Today reports that towards the end of 'Scandal' Season 4, fans were excited to see Pope and President Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) getting another opportunity to start their lives together. More so because the other lover of Liv, Jake (Scott Foley), had finally chosen to give in to Fitz and let Liv go, even as the Fitz directed his first lady Mellie (Bellamy Young) to leave the White House following her confession that she was involved in the murders of the jurors who were called for the B613 case.

However, spoilers of the upcoming season og the political thriller television drama series on ABC revealed that Liv and Fitz would be confronting numerous problems when 'Scandal' Season 5 premieres this fall. This will make it virtually impossible for the duo to commence a formal relationship.

Several media outlets have reported that the newly appointed White House Chief of Staff Elizabeth North (Portia de Rossi) will prove to be among the biggest reasons of conflict in the upcoming season of the show, as she is determined take her revenge on Mellie, who reportedly made her life miserable in the past.

Then again, viewers may see that life of Huck (Guillermo Diaz), Liv's trusted friend-turned-traitor, is in danger in 'Scandal' Season 5. In Season 4 finale fans saw Huck killing the jurors, as Liv's father Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) had threatened him. Now, it remains to be seen whether or not Huck is able to protect himself following the exposure of his secret.

While ABC has not released the official plot teasers for 'Scandal' Season 5, one cast member has already confirmed the official premiere date of the show. According to Joshua Malina, who portrays the character of David Rosen in 'Scandal,' has tweeted that Liv as well as the remaining characters in of the show will be back on Sept. 24.
