The episode 14 of "Scandal" season 5 sees Olivia spying on her ex-beau Jake while inadvertently turning a blind eye on the gladiators.

In the official synopsis of the episode titled "I See You," Olivia is seen checking on Jake in secret after finding out that he already has plans of marrying his current girlfriend. Without Olivia at their helm, the gladiators decide to step up their game and get a handle on things by themselves.

"Olivia continues to spy on Jake while the gladiators have to fend for themselves. Meanwhile, Susan and Mellie are feeling the pressure as their campaigns heat up; Abby begins to question Cyrus' motives; and a blast from the past surprises everyone," reads the official synopsis from The Futon Critic.

Meanwhile, episode 14 also follows Abby wanting to be the White House chief of staff.

While Abby is no longer a gladiator, she tells Olivia that she wants to run back to the team after discovering that Cyrus actually has a different motive.

Based on an article published by Design & Trend, Abby hands Cyrus a copy of the photo from the funeral of Governor Vargas' daughter, revealing to him that she knows what his motives are. This takes Cyrus by surprise.

Also in episode 14, both Mellie and Susan are already pressured up by the ongoing campaign. It can be remembered that in the previous episode, President Fitzgerald Grant chose to give his nod to Susan and not to his ex-wife.

"I See You" will air on March 17, 8:00 P.M. on ABC.
