Scandal Season 4 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: Storyline to Focus on Fitz and Millie Relationship

Following the death of their son, "Scandal" Season 4 will focus on the difficulties and challenges surrounding the relationship between Fitz and Millie.

Tony Goldwyn, who portrays the character of Fitzgerald Grant III, President of the United States in ABC's "Scandal" has said that he would be missing Columbus Short, who was dropped from the show recently.

"He's great but on Scandal, like what happened to Dan Bucatinsky [and his character James Novak] last year, you never know when we're gonna survive," he told Us Weekly.

Columbus Short was axed from the show after he allegedly intimidated a man and his wife at a restaurant. Substantating his actions, Columbus told TMZ, "They fired me by sending me a snap chat message. It was fast and it came quick. I almost missed the message because it came so quick."

According to Tony, the relationship between Fitz and his wife has become important, as they have just "been through cataclysmic revelations about each other" which eventually "brought them together."

The actor also said that Olivia continues to be in the picture, and they will still see each other. Tony said, "They know what makes the other one tick on the deepest level, and as insane, I think, as it sounds, she trusts him." He further said that this means his character will have to deal with a lot of issues when Season 4 rolls along.

Meanwhile, revealing the spoilers of Season 4 to TV Line, Bellamy Young talked about whether her character Mellie will return for the premiere season.

"No, because I don't know if we'll come back immediately. One year, we skipped 10 months in the middle, so I have no idea where we'll start back," she said, adding, "But I can tell you that and as much as [the rape episode] "Everything's Coming Up Mellie" was a devastating table read, that script for our last episode of Season 3."
