Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Specs & Release Date Rumors: New Device to Launch Soon?

As Samsung has already launched its latest flagship smartphone Galaxy S6, the focus is now on Galaxy Note 5. While the South Korean tech giant has yet to reveal the precise release date of the highly anticipated device, which will be succeeding its Galaxy Note 4, but recent reports suggest that it will be launched soon.

According to IB Times, earlier reports hinted that that the Samsung may be releasing the Galaxy Note 5 in September, since its predecessor the Galaxy Note 4 will be completing a year circle in the market by that time. However, Korean news site Daum has recently reported that the device may possibly come as early as August.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that the Galaxy Note 5 is likely to have impressive specifications, and show off features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM in addition to Ultra HD screen resolution. Roh Tae-moon, Samsung executive vice president, recently hinted that the Note devices may possibly come with curved display, similar to that of the Galaxy S6 Edge.

However, there are contradictory reports regarding the features of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5. A report in Venture Capital Post claims that the Galaxy Note 5 is likely to sport features like Retina scanner, fingerprint scanner and wireless charging. In addition, the device is expected to be scratch and dust resistant, water resistant. It may also come with health conscious, and Heart Rate monitor, 6-inch Ultra HD 4K Display, and Snapdragon 810 processor or Exynos 7420 SoC processor.

Then again 4K website reported that the Galaxy Note 5 may be equipped with Exynos 7420 SoC processor, come with 128GB internal memory with microSD card up to 128GB and accommodate an 18MP camera with powerful sensor in addition to a 6MP or 7MP front snapper. This report claims that the device may also sport 4K ultra HD video shooting ability.

Meanwhile, a concept design created by Maryum Ayub, as reported by Concept Phone, the Galaxy Note 5 has a 5.9 inch 4K Super AMOLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5, and is powered by Exynos 3.2 GHz octa core processor. It is expected to run on Android 6.0 and housed a 19MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a secondary 4.7MP front snapper. The concept design predicts that the device may come packed with 32 GB/ 64 GB internal memory and 4 GB RAM.
