'Resident Evil 2' Remake Release Date, News: Developers Will Bring Back The Horror To Game?

There are already talks about the 7th installment of Capcom's "Resident Evil." It was also said that there will be a remake of PS One's Resident Evil 2.

The first three installments of the Resident Evil franchise were the most loved ones because of the horror that they possess. The latter installments were looked down upon by fans. According to NSEAVOICE, the developers of the game are aware of the sentiments of the gamers.

Yoshiaki Hirabayashi was interviewed by Video Gamer about the developments of the remake. He said that he doesn't "think there's much meaning in simply saying things like 'Yes, I'm confident we can [recapture the feeling of the original]." He also said that the team is currently "working hard on the game at the moment" and strongly believes that they "can recapture the spirit of the first game."

"As you mentioned, the first game's remake is held up as proof that a remaster can recapture the original game," Hirabayashi said. "I was able to learn from more experienced colleagues and see with my own eyes how they translated their efforts into such a masterpiece that built on an already well-received game. It was an incredibly valuable experience for me," he continued.

Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Resident Evil 2's programmer, also told Video Gamer that he wishes that Hirabayashi would be able to "understand" all the reason and motivations behind the creation of the very first game.

While there is no definite date yet on the game's release, what we know so far is that the game is currently on the works.
