Along with "Driving Miss Daisy's" Patti LuPone's return, Ethan is set to unite with Vanessa in "Penny Dreadful" season 3.

A new trailer showed Ethan kick off a new journey of danger and challenges to the Dark Continent, which gives him a chance to be together again with Vanessa. According to Ecumenical News, Ethan's journey to Africa is assumed to be filled with unpredicted events set up by the villains.

In addition to Ethan's journey, the latest "Penny Dreadful" season 3 trailer also saw the character in an anxious state while he was looking at the full moon. More than that, the trailer also saw other characters busy with their issues about using their knives, seeing blood, and killing lives.

Aside from Ethan and Vanessa's reunion in "Penny Dreadful" season 3, Patti Lupone is set to return to the series. According to Coming Soon, the actress had a well-received turn as Cut-Wife in the series "American Horror Story." As per the publication, the "Driving Miss Crazy" star is set to be a regular cast in "Penny Dreadful," playing the role of Dr. Seward. Rumors also claim that she will use some alternative methods to treat Vanessa's distressed soul.

Previously, it was revealed that Vanessa is trying to ward off her own inadequacies while Dorian and Lily seem to be setting up their own army for the big day. Also, Mr. Malcolm is also rumored to be with Ethan's side, which is bound to happen before or after the latter's trip to Africa.

"Penny Dreadful" season 3 is set to premiere on May 1 on Showtime.
