'Mortal Kombat X' Releases New Trailer Featuring Princess Kitana, Kung Lao, & Goro [VIDEO]

NetherRealm Studios, in partnership with Warner Bros, is set to release its new fighting video game 'Mortal Kombat X' in April, and ahead of time they released the latest gameplay trailer featuring Princess Kitana, Kung Lao and a sneak peek at Goro.

'Mortal Kombat X' takes places 25 years after the events of its predecessor, 2011's "Mortal Kombat 9." The story goes that the player will get to choose between five factions for whom he will fight and earn battle points for. The factions are Special Force, Black Dragon, Lin Kuei, Brotherhood of Shadows or White Lotus.

Now Netherlands introduced two of the fighters that gamers can choose from through a gameplay trailer released on Wednesday. It shows the deadly Edenenian Princess Kitana and martial artist Kung Lao in their brutal and bloody glory, chopping off a few limbs and beating bad guys.

The words "Goro Lives" is also seen at end of the trailer, and fans will be happy or intimidated to see the four-limbed Goro appearing on screen.

The three will be joining other confirmed characters of the game, such as Raiden, Scorpion, Kano, Quan Chi, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade and Johnny Cash's daughter Cassie and more.

It's most likely that more characters will be introduced in the coming weeks, based on the words "Who's Next?" that appeared on the trailer at the end.

Another thing to look forward to as well is that each fighter comes with three new move sets or three styles of play to choose from before each game, such as Kung Lao for example, who has a Buzz Saw, spinning Tempest and a Hat Trick.

'Mortal Kombat X', the tenth installment of the "Mortal Kombat" franchise, will hit stores on April 14 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. It's available for a price of $59.99.
