Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Surface Pro Going To Be Postponed Until 2017?

It was reported before that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 would be released in October, but with the recent developments, the promised release might get pushed on a later date.

According to Ecumenical News, Microsoft is ready to launch their new Windows 10 update, the Redstone 1. The said update will likely be released some time in June. With that, it would be impossible for Microsoft to focus on those two projects all at once.

Since Microsoft may be focusing first on the Windows 10, they may release the Surface Pro next year. It may also be an advantage, it may run on Redstone 2 at that time and also it would give the developers of the device enough time to make it as perfect as possible so that it could compete with other brands.

In other news, according to News Everyday, the new Surface laptops will be carrying a Kaby Lake Processing Chip from Intel. With that, the devices will be much more powerful than ever. It was also said in the site that the upgrade will cost more time to pull off. It might also be released after Redstone 2 has been launched.

The upcoming devices from Microsoft will be featuring 4k display, USB Type-C port and will have an improved life span with regards to its battery.

The tech giant might be postponing the release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 until the early parts of 2017. However, it would definitely follow the Windows 10 Anniversary Update which would start to roll out this June.
