'Mass Effect 4' News, Rumors: BioWare Developers Drop Hints About Upcoming Title

Bioware developers have been leaving hints on Twitter regarding the development of Mass Effect 4 making fans feel anxious about the game's preview at E3 in June.

According to the latest hints given by the game's creative director, Mac Walters, he said the game is "looking great" when asked about the game's compatibility on PC platform. This is supported further by Chris Wynn, Mass Effect 4 Senior Development Director, tweeting that they are "focused on getting most out of the current crop of hardware."

However, no exact release dates have been provided to the public. But leaked information on RealtyToday back in February was released from an alleged Bioware software engineer, Kevin Plitzko, who posted on his LinkedIn page that he was currently working on the game and that it is allegedly going to be released by October 2016.

For those that may not know, the Mass Effect franchise is a sci-fi action role-playing game third person shooter. The upcoming Mass Effect game is expected to have better cinematics than the third installment. The story will also be entirely different and will be set in a different location in outer space. This going-away from the Commander Shepard storyline gives fans the idea of environment and alien race exploration on the game. Bioware further mentions that they have programmed a better cooperative gameplay for those interested in multi-player options with a faster Mako.

The entirely different storyline has been getting negative reactions on the Internet, but this could start a whole new series as frontier is broader than what is expected.

The previous game, Mass Effect 3 was about the invasion of monstrous alien creatures called Reapers on Earth. The central figure of the story, Commander Shepard, tried to gather help from other alien species and acquire a Prothean super weapon to defeat Reapers. Player choices dominated the game and each choice ended up differently until the weapon is harnessed.
