Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis Together Again As Dance Partners; 'Dancing with the Stars' Couple Rumors Continue

In latest 'Dancing With the Stars' news, former DWTS champions Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis reunited as they performed together at two separate events. This has only served to bolster the rumors about the pair and their allegedly romantic relationship.

"We aren't dating, and I don't think we will. She is very special," said Chmerkovskiy to People Magazine in an interview.

"I care very deeply for Meryl. Our friendship is where it will be for many years. She is awesome to spend time with."

Earlier this month, the duo danced at the 'Sway: A Dance Trilogy' event that took place in Westbury, New York on December 17.

Prior to that presentation, the famed dance partners also performed at the 'Shall We Dance on Ice' event on Dec. 16.

Earlier this year, the aforementioned pair amazed the judges and fans alike with their numerous performances during the Season 18 edition of the long running dance competition on the ABC network.

As a result, Maksim Chmerkovskiy won the coveted Mirror Ball trophy for the first and only time of his career on May 20, 2014, after they wowed the longtime judges (Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman) with a combined perfect score of 60 after two amazing dancing performances seven months ago (on May 19, 2014).

"I have so very much to be grateful for. Hard to believe this journey is coming to an end. To have shared this experience with @maksimc has been a true privilege. Thank you all for the support!" wrote Meryl Davis on her Instagram page in reference to her dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and the end of their magical season several months ago.

Before Davis made her successful debut on 'DWTS', she was best known for winning the gold metal with her ice skating partner Charlie White (and fellow 'DWTS' Season 18 competitor) at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
