Kim Kardashian Consulted Pastoral Advice After Questioning Kanye West's Choice to Bring Jesus on Stage at 'Yeezus Tour'

Kanye West said Kim Kardashian thought bringing a Jesus lookalike on stage during 'Yeezus' tour shows was "weird," and she consulted a pastor about it.

Kardashian has not generally made faith a focus of her public persona as a reality television star. She just recently got engaged to rapper Kanye West.

West's latest musical album, Yeezus, made many references to him portraying himself as a god. When he announced his "Yeezus tour" West told San Francisco's 94.9's The JV Show that his inspiration behind the Jesus making a cameo on the tour came about after the famous couple talked to their friend, a pastor.

West said that Kardashian questioned the religious reference, "My girl even asked afterwards, 'Hmm, is that weird if Jesus comes on stage?'"

The Pastor responded, "No, we do plays all the time. People play Jesus. You know what's awesome about Christianity is we're allowed to portray God? We're allowed to draw images of him, we're allowed to make movies about him. Other religions you're not allowed to do that. That's what's really awesome about Christianity. That's one of the awesome things."

Kanye added, "It's a painting, it's a sculpture, it's a moving opera, it's a play, it's a message."

Perhaps Kim Kardashian's religious convictions prompted her to question the dramatization.

After her publicized divorce with basketball star Kris Humphries, Kardashian tweeted about attending church on a few occasions. "Early morning workout done now off to church with the family," Kardashian wrote

A week earlier the reality TV star wrote tweeted, "On my way to church with the girls! I want to start a Bible study group with my friends!"

She and mother Kris Jenner were photographed in the parking lot of the Life Change Community Church in California. She later added, "Perfect day so far! Church and family brunch."

Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner, founded Life Change Community Church. The church is lead by Brad Johnson, who resigned from his position at a former church in disgrace after an affair. According to the Ventura County Star, Johnson was working at Starbucks when Jenner approached him about beginning a new church. Johnson's new congregation focuses on second chances, as stated on the churches website and it offers, "grace for the fallen."

In the past the reality star revealed on "Piers Morgan Tonight" that she even tithes.

"Whatever it is, I give 10% away to the church. That's what I was taught," Kardashian said.

She recently began to get floods of questions from followers after posting a picture on Instagram that contained images also used to represent the Satanic cult "The Illuminati." She hit back at the accusations.

"I posted a IG collage for my bff @BrittGastineau & people say its the illuminate! What is the illuminate? A religion?...I'm a Christian."

One can only hope that her questioning Jesus being used for entertainment, and her claims of being a Christian are just the beginning of her public declarations on her faith.
