iPad Air 3 Release Date Rumors, Specs: Apple’s Latest Air Tablet Competes With iPad Pro? Set To Be Released On March 15
With the specifications and price of Apple's upcoming iPad Air 3, it is assumed that the tablet is going to be a competitor to its cousin, the iPad Pro.
The iPad Air 3 is set to feature a 9.7-inch screen, in addition to selected features of the iPad Pro, according to Christian Post. In fact, it was indicated that the upcoming tablet is going to be a smaller version of the iPad Pro, as per Engadget.
With regard the features, the iPad Air 3 will feature a quad-speaker array, allowing users to experience stereo sound quality in both portrait and landscape orientations, which is assumed to be a satisfactory feature to consider for streaming videos, watching movies, and listening to music.
The iPad Air 3 is also rumored to be 0.05 mm thicker and 0.1 mm wider than its predecessor, as per Paste Magazine. Such enhanced dimensions indicate decreased compatibility of the upcoming tablet to fitted cases, which may prompt users to buy to new accessories that will fit the device, according to the publication.
With regard to connectivity, the iPad Air 3 is rumored to come with a smart connector intended for its own Smart Keyboard case. An Apple pencil can also be used as substitute for finger touch. Set to be the competitor of Microsoft's Surface 3, Apple's iPad Air 3 is rumored to come with a rear-LED flash, which is assumed to enhance image and video quality, even in low-light surroundings.
The iPad Air 3's cousin, the iPad Pro, has no significant difference from its tablet predecessors, according to Neurogadget. As per the publication, the upcoming tablet is set to feature a larger screen and a more powerful processor, which was enhanced by 4GB of RAM. With the shared features, the iPad Air 3 and the iPad Pro are assumed to compete at the market, as per Ecumenical News.
The iPad Air 3 is rumored to be sold at $499 and an additional $169 and $99 will be added for the physical keyboard and the Apple pencil, respectively.
Apple's iPad Air 3 is rumored to be released on Mar. 15, along with the reported release of the iPhone 6c and iPhone 5se.
