'House of Cards' Season 4 Release Date: Series Renewed by Netflix, Releases Next Year in 2016

House of Cards, one of Netflix's most popular series started a few years ago when Netflix first began setting the trend of releasing a television series, one entire season at a time, for streaming.

The show stars Kevin Spacey, and was one of the first shows to be released in this manner, which also featured a well known actor playing the lead role.

The idea for the show came from a miniseries in the United Kingdom of the same name, which is also based on the novel by Michael Dobbs.

The first season of House of Cards was thirteen episodes long and premiered on Netflix on February 1st.

A year after this, the second season was released and ten days after the release of the second season, Netflix quickly renewed the show for season three. Kevin Spacey continues to star in the series and says that he believes it can run for as long as 12 seasons on Netflix.

According to reports, the fourth season of the show, which has been both anticipated and expected by fans will be released in 2016, likely around the same time as the United States presidential election.

The first two seasons of the show were completely planned out before the first day of filming took place and the third season, while some critics and fans say that it was left unfinished, was just as popular as the first two.

Some fans seem concerned that the show will take on a more political theme as it continued, leaving the drama of murder behind. Nevertheless, they will have to wait until Fall 2016 to find out the truth.
