‘House Of Cards’ Season 3: February 2015 Premiere Most Likely; Doug Stamper Dead?

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the award-winning Netflix original series 'House of Cards' will be returning for its third season. Although the show has already started filming, there has been no confirmation as to when the series will air.

However, reports say that the third season of the show will most likely air in February 2015, since in the past, the show premiered its first and second seasons within that month.

The absence of a formal release date announcement is said to be related to the production problems that the show encountered, including the tax law issues in Maryland.

Despite the show's release date being unconfirmed, there have been many speculations as to what will happen in the story during the episodes of the upcoming season.

The second season of the show left the fans with many lingering questions, such as whether Frank would target Rachel as his next victim, or whether Claire will be pregnant.

Many fans are also wondering about what will happen to the newly appointed president of the United States Frank Underwood, played by Kevin Spacey.

It is said that the future of Underwood would largely depend on whether his chief of staff and confidant, Doug Stamper, lives after being bashed in the head with a rock,

Stamper was spotted motionless with his eyes wide open, but it is unclear whether the character died.

Rachel Brosnahan, the actress who plays the prostitute Rachel Posner, shed some light on what she thinks will happen to Stamper.

"I don't think we know that he's dead yet. It cuts so quickly. I don't think we can say for sure that Stamper is dead," she told Entertainment Weekly.

The actress went on to joke that Michael Kelly, the actor who plays Stamper, was upset when her character attacked Stamper.

"Michael [Kelly] and I had some conversations [about the ending moments]. He's very upset with me! [Laughs] It was some tough, crazy scenes in the woods, but I don't think I've ever worked with an actor that is so kind and positive all the time. Michael's amazing. He can't be dead!," the actress added.

While Brosnahan said that Stamper can't be dead, Kelly admits he does not know yet whether his character will be returning for the third season.

"I don't know -- they haven't officially said," Kelly told Huffington Post.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that the third season of 'House of Cards' will feature new characters, including a doctor and a Russian man.
