Rockstar Games, which produces GTA, is based in New York City, yet avid followers of the game are suggesting that the sixth GTA will take place in Portland, pointing to the prediction raised by Movoto, a blog focusing on real estate.

Looking at a map that may be used for 'GTA VI', the blog stated that it seems likely that the next series of missions in the game will be set in Portland. When trying to figure it out, writers on the blog stated that they looked at a number of cities, imagining which were best suited for car thefts and GTA stunts. The final agreement was that Portland would be a decent choice.

Other cities that have been featured in 'Grand Theft Auto' are Los Angeles, Miami, and New York City. Portland fits the bill for the videogame's action, as it is Oregon's largest city and has the third-highest population of people in the Pacific Northwest region. Add the fact that Portland holds its claim to nine stores that sell guns and a whopping eighty-one adult clubs, and Portland seems like a fitting place for a GTA game.
