'Frozen 2' Cast Rumors: 'Hunger Games' Star Jennifer Lawrence to Portray Elsa in Sequel?

Academy Award-winning Disney's fantasy-comedy animated movie 'Frozen' has had such an influence on moviegoers that they haven't yet recovered from all the hype and magic. They have been wondering what more can Elsa, Anna and their gang explore. This, in fact, has given rise to rumors that the producers may possibly be working on a sequel of the movie, which is being dubbed as 'Frozen 2.'

KDramaStars claims that Disney executives have deliberated on re-casting actress Jennifer Lawrence in the sequel with a view to ensure the continuity of the captivating story of love and family. Jennifer Lawrence is well-known for her role as Katniss Everdeen in 'The Hunger Games' franchise and now reportedly being considered for the role of Elsa - the character that was brought to life and also made to sing the award-winning soundtrack by Idina Menzel, "Let It Go."

A report by OK magazine suggests that the performance of Jennifer Lawrence as "The Hanging Tree" in 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1' was taken note of by authorities at Disney. Citing a source, the magazine claimed that as the 24-year-old actress has a substantial fan-base and is "relevant," it will help in attracting more movie goers to the purported 'Frozen' sequel. However, another report says that as of now, the actress' camp is not very enthusiastic about the idea.

There are reports that work is already underway on a sequel to the much-hyped 'Frozen,' but an official announcement regarding Jennifer Lawrence reprising the role of Elsa in the upcoming movie has yet to come.

As of now, ardent fans of the 'Frozen' franchise can quench their thirst with the short film titled 'Frozen Fever,' which is scheduled for March 13 release just before the live-action film 'Cinderella,' and take pleasure in the "Anna & Elsa" chapter of the book series.
