"Empire" season 3 is on a two-week hiatus and will resume its run in November. As the FOX series returns with its new episode, fans can expect an intense segment as Lucious and Andre prepare for Shyne's retaliation.

The synopsis for the episode reads, "Lucious and Andre are on high alert as they wait for Shyne to retaliate; Jamal teams up with Hakeem for a performance that he thinks could help him face his fears; Cookie is caught off guard during a routine meeting with her probation officer."

In the previous episode, Jamal paid a visit to Freda Gatz in jail, while Shyne and Andre had a fight over Nessa. Elsewhere in the episode, Lucious felt threatened by Angelo and forced Shyne to sign a contract. Andre also realized that he has feelings for Nessa. The episode saw the two of them share some romantic moments.

It was also revealed in episode 4 that Lucious was actually beating up Cookie's childhood sweetheart each time he threatens Angelo. Their date turned out to be a disaster, but there's no stopping Cookie and Angelo from getting closer with each other.

Meanwhile, a promo video for episode 5 offers a glimpse of the upcoming events and teases another intense segment. In the video, Shyne prepares to take revenge from Lyons and shows up at Andre's apartment with a gun in his hand.

Episode 5 was delayed to give way to the last presidential debate for 2016. It has been pushed further to November 2 due to the MLB World Series, which was set to air on October 26.
