Candace Cameron Bure Facebook: Actress Addresses Christian Supporters 'All I See is a Bunch of Religious People Throwing Around Bible Verses Attacking Each Other'
Candace Cameron Bure pens a blog titled "Who REALLY Runs My FB Page?" As the 37-year-old wife and mother of three gains popularity she also has gained a lot of criticism. "ME!" She exclaims answering the questioned posed in her headline.
Bure is popularly known as the sweetheart child actress from Full House but the actress has been gaining more and more popularity recently for her book and outspoken her stance on Christianity.
"Lately, as my FB page has been growing rapidly with new 'likes,' it's becoming a sensitive issue for me to post because of the dread in my heart knowing I am going to get discouraging comments," she posted on her blog.
Recently, Bure, decided to take down a photo she posted on social media of herself with a minimal amount of makeup on because she says she received several hateful comments.
Many of her followers encouraged Bure not to be discouraged by what people say on social media. "while it's easy to say, 'Oh Candace, just delete them and block the haters or don't let them get to you, brush it off,' it's too late. The comments have been made and read, the bickering back and forth defending me or opposing me has ensued," she wrote.
The back and forth on her page always erupts into an offensive debate on Christianity and onslaught of demeaning message of people trying to get one up the other. Bure explains that she is not happy with those things.
She went on to say, "All I see is a bunch of religious people throwing around bible verses attacking each other and bunch of non-religious people wondering why in the world they would ever want to be a part of this group?!"
Bure recently caused a stir in Hollywood for words used in her new book titled "Balancing It All." The actress endured media scrutiny and criticism for a taking a "submissive" role to her husband, former hockey player Valeri Bure. Since then the actress has been the talk of Hollywood.
"I'm too religious, I'm not Godly enough, I'm too thin now, I'm not very humble, I've had too much plastic surgery, My brother Kirk is a better Christian than me, I'm too worldly, I'm too conservative, I'm not modest enough, I'm a show-off... Those are just a few of the types of comments I get no matter what I share, what photo I post or what I say," she protests.
"I'm not trying to please everyone, I only have an audience of ONE. That's God," Bure declared. "My Facebook Page is for my fans. It's a place to share with you what's going on in my life. I also share with you what is most precious in my life; my family! My Facebook Page is not a Christian blog, it's not a Jesus FB fan page and it's not a place I'm going to flood with constant scriptural photos or only Christian articles."
The successful author although she values the title of being a role model, urges her fans to look to God because she says like every other human she is not perfect.
"Please look to Jesus and only Jesus for perfection," Bure stated while closing her blog post. "You certainly won't find it in me, and I promise you won't find it in others either. But here's what we can do while we fix our eyes on Jesus ... we can encourage one another. We can build each other up and [choose] our words wisely to share the truth in love, and be gracious to those we really don't know but only through our computer screens."
"I wont ever stop being the real me to be an illusion of a better but fake Christian version of myself. Can we please keep in mind that people are on their own journey with Christ and are all walking at different speeds and knowledge," she closes.
