Apple Watch 2 Release Date Rumors, Specs: Second-Gen Wearable To Arrive This June Or Q4 2016?

New details on the release date and specifications of the Apple Watch 2 have surfaced.

According to Tech Radar, the Apple Watch 2 is set to be released at the company's upcoming WWDC 2016 event, which takes place in June. As per the publication, the Apple Watch refers a person to Apple's website when asked about when the Apple Watch 2 comes out. The message displays "Apple.com should be able to answer that question. Continue on the iPhone."

Aside from a June release, another possible release date for the Apple Watch 2 is in the latter part of 2016, according to Apple Insider. As per the publication, the Apple stores in the United States reduced the price of the Watch 2 predecessor by $100 in February, which ignited rumors that Apple was shifting its gears to announce the second-generation smart watch.

In terms of specifications, a patent called "Volume Control for Mobile Device Using a Wireless Device" revealed that a device's alert volume can be manipulated based on the sound level generated, as per PC Advisor. The said patent was filed in 2015, together with several patents linked to the Apple Watch.

The Apple Watch 2 is also expected rumored to include a new design, which could be the steel Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Edition. A new wireless chipset is also integrated to the device, allowing users to accomplish tasks directly from the smartwatch without the need of opening the iPhone. The smart watch is also rumored to include a FaceTime camera, but does not get any improvement in terms of battery life.

Overall, Apple's Watch 2 is assumed to be released in either June or latter part of 2016.
