'Anchorman' actor Will Ferrell recently revealed some exciting information concerning a sequel to the popular Ben Stiller flick, 'Zoolander'. Apparently, the script for 'Zoolander 2' has been completed and it's on the verge of an actor/actress read-through.

Ferrell let slip some pretty interesting information about the upcoming movie when talking with Joblo.com, he said, "We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon, and Mugatu is a part of it,"

Evidently Ferrell confirmed his part in the 'Zoolander 2' movie. He first played the role of Mugatu back in 2001 alongside Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson). For those that may not know, the latter two actors were in a heated competition for the best male model throughout the movie.

Stepping into the plot, the premise of the upcoming film revolves around the two male models once again. This time instead of competing against each other, the pair face the danger of losing their reverence and prestige in the business to a bunch of younger male models.

Even though the official cast list for the film has not yet been released, some fans are hoping that the bigger names in 'Zoolander' will return for the sequel. Ben Stiller has been confirmed for his reprisal, much like Ferrell, but Owen Wilson's return is still just a rumor floating about.

On a side note, the director of the film will be none other than Justin Theroux, Jennifer Aniston's fiance.

In terms of the release date for 'Zoolander 2' nothing has been confirmed as of yet. However, Fashion&Style speculates that,"If the 'Zoolander 2' script is in fact ready to go and filming can begin by sometime next year, the comedy sequel will most likely hit theaters at some point in 2016."
