Popular New York City youth group, Misfit NYC will be celebrating its 18th anniversary on Nov. 28, with the charismatic Pastor Robert Madu. The influential group shared how excited they are to commemorate the massive impact of their ministry throughout the years.

"Looking back on the past 18 years and how far we have come, we still marvel at how God continues to show up to do something new every time," a representative of Misfit NYC said in a press release.

Misfit started out in a small room at their church, the Christ Tabernacle, and now the group fills the entire church, including the balcony as hundreds of teens gather to hear the Word of God.

"Although God has brought us to so many new landmarks and various changes, one thing will always remain the same: our message is always Jesus," the member wrote, "Our goal has been and will continue to be, to make the truth about Jesus Christ famous, relevant, and attractive."

The anniversary is titled 'From Now Until Forever' and kicks off at 8:00 pm at the churches Glendale campus. Pastor Chris Durso who took over the ministry years ago will host the event. Guest speaker Madu will be there the entire evening, bringing the Word for the 8 pm service and then again speaking at the youth pastor's fellowship directly afterward the service at 10 pm.

Misfit NYC is known for using hip-hop music and spoken word in ministry and at the 'From Now Until Forever' event they will continue the trend. Misfit Republic will provide worship, Misfit Rap Society will be performing for the night and their will also be spoken word from some of the members.

"This will be a night to commemorate and praise God for all that He anticipates to do, "From Now Until Forever"!" the press releases concluded.
