Miguel Gonzalez [6-3, 3.77 ERA] is on the hill for the Orioles taking on Yankees starter Ivan Nova [2-2, 4.63 ERA].

Talk about a Cinderella story, Gonzalez, 29, came out of nowhere. The Orioles weren't sure they were going to get the same productivity out of them as last year but he's been good to try and stabilize their rotation. Gonzalez is coming off 5 straight starts giving up 3 earned runs or less. Even though the Orioles recently made a trade for Rangers pitcher Scott Feldman, it has to be a weight off Miguel Gonzalez's shoulders that he's still getting the start as the 5^th man in the Orioles rotation.

On the other hand, Yankees pitcher Ivan Nova is a paradox. Nova has shown to be emblematic of the entire Yankees roster. Nova is the guy that needs to give the Yankees six innings of quality start every time he's out there. If Nova is not good, this Yankees offense can't back him up with run support like years past. It's tough not to back Baltimore even though the Yankees have been playing a little better as of late.
