Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro Release Date, Specs, Price: Phone Arrived In China; Features Fingerprint Sensor, Bigger Storage

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro was just launched in China and it confirmed previous rumors about two features that separate the phone from its predecessor: the fingerprint sensor and the bigger storage capacity.

According to the news report from First Post, Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro features specs of an HD display of 720x1280 pixel resolution and powered by Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor mated to an Adreno 405 GPU on 3 GB of RAM.

"The dual SIM device runs MIUI 7 based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop," it said. "On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash, f/ 2.0 aperture, PDAF autofocus and 1080p full-HD video recording along with a 5MP front-facing camera."

Meanwhile, Ubergizmo noted that the rest of the specs for the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is quite similar to its predecessor, the Redmi 3, but that's not such a bad thing altogether considering the features of the phone.

"The Redmi 3 Pro will also come with a 5" High Definition display, runs on a Snapdragon 616 chipset, has a 13MP shooter at the back with a 5MP shooter in front for selfie lovers, alongside a 4,100mAh," it said. "Other connectivity options will include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and microUSB 2.0, where users can opt for silver, grey and gold shades."

For the specs, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 brings value for a buck as it costs around $140. According to NDTV, the release date for the phone is expected to be later this month with its first flash sale on April 6 in China.
