The Xbox One and PS4 are both about to be available this holiday season and everyone is looking to the pre-order sales numbers to determine which one is the most popular. The argument over specs and graphics has pretty much determined that both consoles are almost identical. Reuters recently did an online poll that asked consumers if they would rather have an Xbox One or a PS4. The results may surprise you.

The results of the poll:

26% Playstaion 4

15% Xbox One

11% Other

It looks like PS4 is the winner! But not so fast, there is another column that allowed users to opt out of the survey entirely and 64% of consumers said they wanted neither. Sony has been using this survey to prove that their console has better games, specs, graphics, and even pre-order sales, but it looks like consumers don't really care about either console to begin with. How will this affect holiday sales?

One of the reasons why active gamers may have chosen the PS4 over the Xbox One is due to the fact that Microsoft originally required users to be connected to the Internet at all times to play games, even games that functioned offline. Microsoft has since reversed their always online feature, but the controversy could be a factor in the low interest in the console.

Cost also will play a role in which console users will buy. The PS4 is only $399 while the Xbox One is $499. Which console will you choose?
