Xbox Live Gold members will be able to enjoy not just two, not just three, but four free games this May.

Each month, Microsoft typically makes just two games free for eligible members of Xbox Live Gold which they can download for a limited period on Xbox 360 and Xbox One.  This month of May, Xbox Live Games with Gold has included in its free Xbox game offerings a fan favorite and some game sequels.

When the company included backwards compatibility games for Xbox One in November 2015, the number of free games has increased to four titles instead of just two.

This May, five games are offered for free for Xbox Live Gold members, and these games are "Defense Grid 2" for Xbox One, "Sunset Overdrive," "Costume Quest 2," "Grid 2,"  and "Peggle."

 "Sunset Overdrive" was first made available in April 16 and will remain free to download until May 15. The open-world action adventure game will be replaced by "Costume Quest 2," which is the sequel to the turn-based role playing game by Double Fine.

"Grid 2" will be available starting May 1 until May 15 for Xbox 360 console gamers. By May 16, "Peggle" will be made available for eligible Xbox Live members. Both games are also backward compatible games for Xbox One gamers.

According to Movie News Guide, Xbox Live members can enjoy free titles every month if they subscribe to Xbox Live Gold, subscription to which costs around $60.

All five games are for Xbox Live Gold members to keep even if they drop their subscription.
