‘X-Files’ David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson Dating More Like Wishful Thinking than Reality; Duchovny to Release Album, Book

Fans might have to reconcile their wishes of a real life romance between David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson as the former 'X-Files' leading lady clarified that "it is more like wishful thinking" than a reality. Also, the rumors surrounding Duchovny rekindling his relationship with ex-wife Tea Leoni turned out to be false because the former couple was just complying with parental duties.

Their romantic chemistry as Special Agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder is undeniable, but Anderson clarified that though advancing it to a relationship is a nice idea, what they have is just an on screen romance. "...It's not going to happen. I think we know each other too well. We know each other better than our spouses at any time when we may have had spouses. There is an attraction maybe even more than a [friend] attraction, but anyways," Anderson told HuffPostLive.

Duchovny and Anderson had to wait for the final season of 'The X-Files' before their respective characters sealed off their first kiss. The duo also filmed their second movie after the last season finale that connected gaps within the story.

Recently, eyewitnesses spotted Duchovny coming out of Anderson's place not to mention that they have been more public with their affection towards each other. Meanwhile, 53-year-old Duchovny who also starred in 'Californication' announced that he will be releasing his debut album sometime in 2015, Rolling Stone reported. He is known as a guitar player and currently has 12 demos for the project.
