WWE "Monday Night Raw" Dec. 2, 2013 Recap John Cena & Randy Orton Brawl Before TLC  

 

The results are in for last night's WWE Monday Night Raw show at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

The show started with CM Punk whose been trying to figure out exactly why The Shield attacked him. Punk believes is was due to his criticism of Triple H on last week's Raw when he said Triple H wouldn't pick a fight with someone against authority and insults The Authority.

Next, Stephanie McMahon came out saying they support freedom of speech and that Triple H is a cofounder of DX and they didn't set up Punk to be attacked by The Shield because they have bigger fish to fry. Kane reveals that he checked into Punk's revelation and came to the conclusion that The Authority had no parts in the setup, which led to Punk bashing Kane's new look. Kane wasn't about to take Punk's disrespect and started to make his way down the ramp, Stephanie quickly puts a stop to his rage. After Kane takes a breather, The Shield's theme music plays and Punk hops into the ring along with a chair he has grabbed and The Shield quicjly surrounds him. Stephanie, once again puts a stop to the madness and says that Punk will be respected and she leaves. Kane chimes in and challenges The Shield members to a handicap match at TLC.

Dolph Ziggler is defeated by Damien Sandow in the Intercontinental Championship's No. 1 Contender match. After hitting a 2-count Fameasser, Ziggler attempts to hit the top rope, but Sandow makes him lose his balance before hitting a You're Welcome leading him to a win.

AJ Lee, Summer Rae, and Tamina Snuka are defeated by Natalya and The Bella Twins. Natalya goes for a sharp shooter on AJ, but Tamina intervenes and is drop kicked out of the ring by The Bellas. AJ tried to pick up Natalya, but she's rolled up and pinned.

Bad News Barrett reveals some good news and bad news. The good news; they are on live television. The bad news; they are in an arena surrounded by hillbillies. He then calls fans stupid and names Oklahoma City after the state of Oklahoma.

Randy Orton tells Raw General Manager, Brad Maddox to remind everyone that he is the face of WWE. Orton believes he is much bigger than John Cena and is much larger than WWE itself.

Erick Rowan is defeated by Daniel Bryan after Bryan counters Rowan's press slam with a roll up pin. Meanwhile on the Titan Tron, Bray Wyatt appears and tells him to stand down professing that Bryan won't get hurt unless he puts in the order. He says he is man enough to admit to his wrongs and too understands Bryan and his fiancé's relationship, but says together they could take down the whole system.

After the break, Kane runs into Daniel Bryan backstage and admits the two used to be partners, but he has moved on and Bryan is friends with CM Punk. He thinks Bryan should face the same challenge as Punk so he books him in the handicap match against The Wyatt Family.

R-truth and Xavier win against Tons of Funk and The Funkadacyls after woods avoids Brodus' cross body and he then rolls him up for the pin. Alberto Del Rio takes a loss after he missed an enziguri intended for Sin Cara and Sin Cara hits the top rope for a senton splash.

Backstage with John Cena, Renee Young asks him about becoming the undisputed unified champ and Cena tells him to think about the meaning of the titles and then references Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan. He says that WWE and WWE Universe deserve one champion and that it would mean "everything" for him to win and be that champion.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust team up with the Big Show during a 6 man tag team match against The Shield and CM Punk spectates from a monitor backstage. The Shield take home a win after Goldust fails to superplex Seth Rollin onto Dean Ambrose. Ambrose gets out of the way and Rollins rolls up Goldust.

Rennee Young joins CM Punk backstage and asks him how he felt about the match at TLC. Sarcastically, Punk says he is overcome with joy and beings singing "I Feel Pretty." He admits that he will lose, but he questions just how many members of The Shield will he take down with him.

Backstage, Kofi Kingston walks up on The Miz and the two shake hands letting fans know that they have mended their relationship. The two head to the ring for a tag team match against Ryback and Curtis Axel and are ultimately defeated when Ryback hits Kofi with Shellshock. The Miz tries to help Kofi out of the ring after the match, but ends up slapping him before he exits the ring.

Triple H and Stephanie make their way to the ring for the contract signing between Cena and Orton with tables, ladders and chairs set up everywhere. The two clarify that there will be one unified, undisputed champion when the match ends. Stephanie then introduces Orton first, followed by Cena. Triple H gives the contract to Orton who signs it first and Cena signs it and hands it back to Stephanie. The two men are asked to speak and Orton compares himself to Triple H in not liking John Cena, but he says that he is better than all the big names who have held the titles including Triple H and that he will walk away with both titles. After Orton's rant Cena laughs and re-introduces himself to Orton. Orton reminds Cena that he kicked his father in the head years ago and that there is no need for a re-introduction.

Things quickly escalate and Orton flips the table onto Cena. Cena hits Orton with a ladder and a chair and hits his face on the steel steps. Orton bounces back and throws a ladder onto Cena and hits him with a chair a couple times before setting up a table, but Cena ruins the setup and throws Orton through another table setup in the corner of the ring. As Triple H and Stephanie watch the drama from the ramp Cena throws Orton through another table and hits a couple of poses with both of the belts.
